Well hello there! A little about me.............
I have been writing poems since I was about 8/9 years old. That's over 20 years now.
My dream is to one day, get my book of poems published, complete with my own illustrations, entitled..."A Life in Poetry". Even if I pay for a set amount of books to be into print, I would like to do this to pass the book down to my children and my children's children. For them to read the words I've written. To read my life in poetry....My Legacy lol
I currently have 5 of my poems in print, published in america as part of various anthrologies.
I've also written a couple of short stories, but prefer to write poetry so much more lol.
I have 2 gorgeous gorgeous children; a little girl,called Caitlin and a little man called Anthony Joshua.
I am a working single parent and as hard as it can be at times, it is such a rewarding thing too.
They are my world.
I'm a pretty ordinary girl really, who loves to write, and always has done.
I write from the heart and tend to write poems when i am sad or down, angry, frustrated, needing to let off steam or just in need of resolving something. My best poems have been written in minutes, (when I am feeling particularly emotional) the words just seem to flow so easily if I am emotional in any way.
I find that writing poetry helps to ease my pain at times and it also gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction.
The other thing I love is listening and dancing to music...hence the name Lassluvsdancin. Nearly every song I ever hear brings a memory flooding back, I couldn't live without my music and my pen and paper lol.
I never useto share my writing with anyone, my poems were/are very private to me. It has really only been since i sadly miscarried in 2003 that I have shared my poetry freely, with others.
They are very, very personal to me and my life.
