Married with 2 grown up children, a retired software engineer, also an ex-teacher, a lifelong poet, a student of English literature, an avid croquet player and, unlike Hamlet, interested in all the uses of this world. |

Went to Exeter University, met my wife Mavis,. Had a Had a good time, made some good friends who I still see |
and got an Honours degree (II II) |

Primary School teacher as I thought it would be more fun to teach |
English and poetry and music etc than Chemistry to a lot of reluctant |
adolescents. After 20 years |

I gave up teaching and went back to University to do an |
MSc in Software engineering, T |
hen I went back to University again to do a PhD in computing. |
I got a job at Sun Microsystems and became happy working |
|
|
|
Microsystems offered me compulsory early retirement so I took it. |
I am now a happy Internet poet, and Literature Student at the Center for Lifelong Learning in Newcastle but run by Sunderland University :- |

I have recently become the poetry editor of Gold Dust Magazine, a poetry impressario, organising Poetry Performance events in London, Leeds and Newcastle Upon Tyne's Theatre Royal and even gone back to teaching doing some part time home tutoring. |
