A little about me... Well my name's Ryan and I am a gamer. I originally joined up to this site because I wrote a small piece in a short amount of time and thought that, because a close friend of mine was on this site, that I should join up too and force myself to be a little more creative in life.
I, myself, am not actually a fan of poetry that much, however, getting things off my chest in such a fashion has helped me reach a very calm mindset and it helps that other people enjoy my work and/or can be affected by my words. I'm not entirely sure why, but it gives me a feel of knowledge.
As time has gone by, I've found myself writing more and more. I don't have any problems with this, however, it's resulted in me feeling guilty from time to time when I don't update my work somewhat regularly. I suppose this is good in some ways because it pushes me to do something.
In the end, I find myself not usually writing for myself, but for others. Whether I be the topic at hand or not, I'm writing because others enjoy my work and if I can please them through the words they read, I feel like I have accomplished something.
