Time lessens the pain, of this I am sure but the memories last and visit us sometimes. Hopefully we become wiser and acccept new love. Bad memories won't visit so often. The writing is, as always excellent and the emotions are real and shared with great courage. You and I may have something in common. I have never told anyone I love them and didn't mean it. If someone says they don't love you anymore, they never really did.

Dear Adri,
You will not believe me now sweetheart but time will make a difference. I know how shallow my words are now dear heart but trust me, what I say is true. This heartache is very devastating, I know how much pain is involved. I truly appreciate what you have said about happiness in this poem. I know how much love is felt when you put his happiness over your own.
Take the good memories Adri, they were worth it. No regrets hun...to have loved this deeply is something that few experience. If I could take your pain away, I would. I'm so sorry sweetie. Trust me when I say that love tears a heart apart but new love can put it back together again.
You have written from your heart. I feel your sorrow and I feel your intense love too. A poem that conveys so much is a treasure indeed.

I hope I don't sound too callous when I say that I expected this. Nothing against Filthy. I'd expect the same from myself. It is a courageous thing you once tried to uphold, Adri, but I can't think of a man on this earth who can span the oceans forever. I believe I shall be moved to write a poem about women I've known whose only obstacle from love has been distance. Geographical distance. Internet love is a hard deal, Sis... I've been sorely tempted, but never won. I hope you would find someone you can be around more often. How else will you have any grandchildren? A truely touching write...

the lines convey ache and loss.

I can feel this one...it's powerful and sorrowful...the perceived loss of love...slowly fading in memory...as they walk away...and down the path of forgetting you...it's so sad....a great piece here..

So sorry, Adri..There's one thing I've learned in life...If it's right, no power on Earth will destroy it. If it isn't right, no amount of wishing or trying can make it right will work.You don't have to work at a relationship if it is the real deal. YOu only have to work at it when you're trying to get two pieces to a puzzle that don't fit to do what they can never do. There's plenty of carp in the pond, dear...Love ya...len

So sad and I'm so sorry to hear that he walked away. Your love for him shows all through this write. True love thinks always of the happiness of another and the pain you must be feeling is unbearable I'm sure. I only hope you can find the comfort that you need through everyone's support here.
