Melody In Tragedy: The Quest For Enlightenment
Melody In Tragedy: The Quest For Enlightenment

wake up, for the day has come
wake up, my new born son
wake up, we must work
wake up, listen to the sound of the wind and birds

the day is young my dear son
let us search, for what your life is to become
learn from my mistakes,
learn from the old to become a wiser one

you follow your own path my young one
do as you wish, for it is your life you run
do not faulter, for you are a strong one
do not be afraid, for your life, shall not become rot like some

search for your calling
search for your dreams
find your reason to live among the rotten things
find your calling, find your dreams

grow up and become what you please
a writer, a poet, a creator of things
do as you wish, for your life is a living dream
do nothing to destroy your dream,

you are young but wiser then the old
you are wise, now become bold
you are bold now became strong
you are now strong, become what you have wanted to become

you have searched and you have won
you have lived your life for no one but yourself
you are the wisest of the wise my dear son
you found your calling, you lived your dreams

discovered love and discovered pain
learned from the pain to fuel your love
loved the pain and become a mighty one
you have lived your life in the best of ways

now lie down, and rest
look forward to the coming days
for you are the wisest of wise
you have found the meaning of dreams....
Author's Notes:
This is the first of 8 poems in a series I've written under the name of *The Melodic Testament* each poem will have it's own aspect on a different part of life,I'm not 100% sure if I placed this poem in it's proper spot, but I put it were I believed it was most ment to be, now, onto the meaning of the poem. The story behind  this specific poem in the series deals with the raising and growing up of a young boy, who's life was tough and he matured at a very young age, it is also partially inspired by my own experiences in my own life, I hope you all enjoy this poem, and I look forward to hearing what you think of this, as well as the other 7 poems in the series.

I like the positive attitude presented.  Instilling confidence in the young man's ability to be his own person and follow his dreams and ambitions.
