Moving On

My breathing comes as a sigh of relief,
I am still the woman you couldn't see.
You never knew how much I needed your touch
Or that your words cut through my fragile soul.
But that was yesterday,
and I grow stronger with every step I take.
By embracing tomorrow, I'll summon  the strength I need
To carry on alone along the yellow-brick road.
If I have travel far into the unknown,
to seek my path in this world,
I'll still taste the mute colors,
to find that pot of gold at rainbows end.

Sometimes accepting what is, is all we can do and through this acceptance we slowly begin to heal. I admire the strength that you found from deep within and chose to move on.
Love and Hugs my friend

Adri,

Love is a threshold and a path. Often hurdles and disappointments may appear. Since we are inclined to the pot of gold at rainbows end, we must ignore (albeit atimes difficult) these encumberances and pains and pursue true love which soon will come.

Dear Ah...

It's so good to see a new post from you...one so filled with strength and courage and hope! My heart aches with the pain that's expressed at the beginning,  but rejoices in the hope that it closes with. A wonderful write, sweets, that expresses the true strength that you have!

Hugs to you, hon, and  keep those feet under you, knowing that we're all here to help you  get back up again.

Love you, my little sister!

Awesome my African Princess!!!  I love the message this poem relays...  As they say, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger...  Bur your personality will also keep you from being cold and callus...  Always caring just a bit more cautious...  It was nice seeing your post in my PM inbox this morning...  Ham

Take your pain and write it down on paper, burn it and throw it in the trash. Take a deep breath, and when you exhale, send your woes into the wind. This carried a deep sorrow, but it it will go away someday. One foot in front, and the next will follow. This was superb writing imo, and I will be waiting for the next one..

This is beautiful stuff, Adri, sad but powerful. It is never pleasant when people can cut into our soul. But it is always good to know we are stronger than that.
Be well, Linear.
