That Looks Like My Cup
Coffee, yes, coffee, oh please coffee...
It does not matter if you get up
At 3am or 1145am or 3pm
Coffee is The Answer! And all other
Questions are on hold!

Coffee, not too hot, please.
Coffee, you know 3 sugars (sweeteners),
Cream, enough to make it sweet.
Coffee, oh that looks like my cup
And the light brown color!

Coffee, still a bit HOT; but, coffee...
Just add an ice cube and stir.
Oh, coffee looks so good...
Coffee, yes, thank you for the cup...
Just a sweet sip away!

Coffee, oh yes, delicious coffee!
Oh how good is that first sip...
Coffee is definitely a sweet sin of indulgence
Available for my pleasure.

Coffee, yes, anytime is the right time...
Stir and be ready to enjoy a cup;
Choose a flavor and relish the delight!
Coffee, just innocent cups of creamy coffee --
Definitely a sweet sin of indulgence!!!
Author's Notes:
Oh, my yes, just a sweet sin of indulgence... My daughters think this poem is too funny and they look at me carefully as I drink that coffee!!!

i am glad i had my coffee in hand when i began reading...or else i would have stopped mid-write...i mean mid-read to go make a pot...hey, i just discovered the french press.  i had one fancy little pot to decorate my kitchen...i have a coffee theme going...tried it just a few minutes ago and wow!  beats others hands down...better than my one-cup electric mr. coffee espresso maker...and my drip, any style..it's cowboy coffee with all of its flavor...without the grounds...a real coffee drinker like you..i'm sure you have already discoverd this french secret...if not...definitely worth a try...enjoyed your full fledged addicted writings here...

O' dear, what would we do without it? I don't like coffee, but I do like English Toffee Cappuchino, which still counts! Love that caffeine rush! Loved it Lady D, you and only you could describe coffee to a tea.(Nice pun, right? Haha!)

You capture the desire for a good cup of coffee very well in this poem. I empathise. But I like mine hot; no ice cubes for me.

See, it's a universal addiction. Maybe that is what we need to bring the world together...the universal coffee bean.
