The million girls on top of the world Part One
On top of the world there's a million girls.
How did I end up with you?
I feel so completely undeserving of a love so true.
I broke your arm in third grade, when you tried to run away.
I tripped you by accident. At least thats what we say.
I'd call you on the telephone and hang up when you said hello.
I just called to hear your voice, in case you want to know.
We went tandem on my bicycle on our first date it's true.
I got farther with your sister, than I ever did with you.
I took you to the cemetery and gave you your first kiss.
It makes me cry a happy tear to think of memories like this.
Do you remember our prom date? I heard I showed some class.
Was it the fact we never made it when we got drunk and out of gas?
I taped recorded our intimacy and played it back at school.
No matter how I saw it, you said that wasn't cool.
You were my brothers girlfriend, he tried to make that clear.
We ended up together after we finished all the beer.
Parked in a farmers field, due to the thrill that we'd been getting,
We didn't notice that cop saw our heavy petting.
When you knocked on my window and woke my mother too.
I was seeing your best friend. I still wanted you.
I tapped on your window two hours before dawn.
It was always a thrill to see what little you had on.
They say truth is stranger than fiction. Now I know that's true.
If you made the list below. I apologize to you.
If you think you are off the hook, I would not believe it if I was you.
Chances are you will make the list when I write PART TWO.
