HER OWN WORST ENEMY
HER OWN WORST ENEMY
Innosence, Uncared for, loneliness,
Niave, young, Abandoned, Neglected,
Lost and Incomplete!
She wonders from place to place.
Rumors, Misunderstanding, suspicion, Fears,
and stupid Ignorance.
They watch her slowly fade into a dark place.
Trouble, Misfortune, corruptness,
Exiled,  Anger, and Misdirection.
A path that will follow and conquer and move,
to her destined depressed face.
Statistics, Society, Unmarked Graves,
Or small confined spaces, Drugs and Abuse.
Loss of Hope and Yearning for Charity ,
Love , A home, and A real family.
She's the victim,
and now she'll face possibility,
of being her own Worst Enemy!
Author's Notes:
I am trying to become a foster parent so that I may adopt and along the way A young Girl has landed in my lap. She has no real family other then a father who leaves her for weeks at a time to drnk and be with a girlfriend that shes not allowed to bond with, and a mother who is disabled to the point of where she must be cared for herself. She needs alot of love and help to reach her actual age in mind, but i refuse to allow her to fall through the cracks . Helping one person at a time.

this is a very powerful expression of written words...but your open heart that accepts this child into your home is powerful as well.  two gold stars for you....a glimmer of hope for her  " Love... a home and a real family"...a world of possibilities..this certainly a very touching poem!
