I feel like I have been waiting a lifetime for love to come my way

And I believed I found my true love when I met you yesterday

We seemed to share everything in common; our dreams shone bright and clear

And I imagined you would be here forever, yet evermore…….. Was yesterday

In that one single instant you became my living breath

And I gladly shared my life with you not knowing how you truly felt

I was blinded by raw emotions and I couldn’t see it in your eyes

For you our love was ending as today becomes yesterday’s child

Looking back on what I went through, the future seems bleak and grim

Not knowing if I can ever love again or if a women is worth the pain

Yet my heart cries out to belong to a lady…….. someone just like you

And I would gladly sacrifice tomorrow for another yesterday with you

So I hope and pray tomorrow that love might find me again

I have to believe she is out there this siren of my dreams
