| My Mother |
My mother is like
Biting into a lemon with the skin on,
On a good day she's two
She can control the sky's tears
So that it doesn't rain on my parade
Or the thunder doesn't keep me awake
During the darkness
The woman can not run
So I walked while she chased me
Out of her womb
My mother,
My tree with the curvy trunk
After digesting a lemon
I climb and nestle into her limbs
