She dreams the songs of a whippoorwill

hanging mute in the moonbeam’s glow.

She dreams of life midst the rainbow’s arch,

her essence … a shade of blue.

She dreams … and lives within her dreams,

never stepping to reality’s realm.

She lives, carrying a constant smile

grown from her childhood sanctuary,

hidden deeply within her soul.

She lives a separate world

apart … from human failures.

Author's Notes:

Dedicated to the child within ... who protects the innocent child from abuse.
You spoke loudly.
Congratulations!
The silence is broken.
