Laundry Day

Oh here we are in the bag again
  Must be laundry day
Oh,  down the hall we go swinging along
There is the sound of the washer starting to fill

Shake every"one" out of the bag
Undies and such first wash load
Shaken a bit as we are placed in the washer
Water warm and detergent smells good
Bye,  see you when it's dryer time

Oh, the washer has stopped and the lid is opening
She reaches in and places each of us in the dryer
Door closes and the warm spin begins

Soft and fluffy we wait as the dryer stops
Oh good, the lid is opening; fresh air
She gently shakes each of us as she folds us
She smiles and compliments us on our softness

Into the bag as she walks and we swing to the dresser
She takes us out of the bag and places us in the drawers
  Clean, soft and fluffy
  We LOVE  wash day !!!!

If my laundry could talk it would say, "Get to it woman, we are sick of being in this pile". Haha...now you see, my laundry would indeed make for sassy poetry!
Cute and adorable Lady D.

I love this poem so much because it's down to earth. We've all been there and done our wash, but you've made poetry out of the task. Thank you.

Oh this is cute! Mine would scream, '"Please wash me, I'm dying to be cleaned!"  I enjoyed your poem.

Indeed!! If Laundry could just talk~!!  This was a gentle wash day, with the laundry looking forward to their adventure of becoming new to the drawers again~!!  You have a way, dear Lady of Unicorns of having in-animate objects come to life~!  Great look at laundry in Georgia~!
