Forbidden Alleys…and…Narrow Valleys

Forbidden Alleys…and… Narrow Valleys

Don’t do the gossip
Don’t talk behind people’s back,
Don’t say things, which I later regret!
And don’t want to hear, such mislead

This is no lecture
And has no such nature
But I really get hurt
When I see the above feature

We all are human
If not dead, we move
Those who move, make mistake
Hope is not deliberate, for goodness sake

A good intention, appreciated
A lot out there, negotiated
People have feelings, let’s be careful
No matter of heart, to be negotiated!

"I am like a bird”, flying always
Sitting on trees, branches and hays
I watch everything, from the sky
Not easily fooled, by seedless maze

There is goodness, in all of us
Some regretfully, don’t give a toss
annoyance and hurt, all left to feel
Let’s be kind, and create an ethos

We live now, ‘ll be gone some day
People will read, what we now say
A love story, or of a lust
All a history, the future’s hay

So let’s be kind, to one another
Although the history, does not bother
The ethos we make, and the road we take
Let’s hope that none, go down the gutter

Author's Notes:
Just sharing some of my inner feelings about some sensitive issues. Some lines might sound lecture like, however, never was the intention as I don' like lecturing people, and nor receiving one. My deepest respect is due to everyone.

I agree with you 100%.  Cool poem.  Gossip and that sort of thing is terrible -- it will drag us into that gutter.  Good advice here.  Solid poem, spoken clearly.  Great writing!  --David

Sometimes good people try to set the truth to good people, and those people take things the wrong way! They dont understand whats going on around them.  So, they turn it around, on the one good person thats trying to keep them from getting hurt.  So being this said, I am usually the one person that tries to do good unto others, and I get a good slap in the face! I turn the other cheek and walk away knowing at least I tried to do the right thing! This was a good write! I truly enjoed the read!!

Dean...

A well written poem that reaches out for our fellow man

People need to pay attention to others needs..

Sometimes we all say things that hurt others..

AS .....Mom use to say think before you open your mouth....

Awesome poem my friend...

Dean,

There are so many words I regret saying that I should have never said in the first place.  There are so many times I've said something and it's heard in the wrong way.  Let's not forget what I've written forever on paper.  Oh how many times I have said I wish....

None of what I have said or done has been in anger or out of cruelty but just not thinking things out clearly.  A wonderful poem full of wisdom giving all words to live by.  Great Job!!!  Tina
