Exploding Breasts

Exploding Breasts

We are born one and all with breasts

But some of us want to change nature

Fly in the face of what we have

And choose to implant for change

Pick a breast from a quality range

Choose a chest that will really heave

Select a nipple to nurture

Ignore the warnings and the tests

Now in France the PIP pap is pooped

Exploding breasts a reality

Women demand instant removal

Who put them there in the first place?

Do they have any sympathy?

Not from me and not from G-d either

Author's Notes:
We have been alerted in the U.K. to French breast implants that use industrial silicon rather than a more refined gel.  The result is exploding or leaking implants which up to 40,000 women could want removing for nothing.  Some are even trying to get new ones implanted for free.

Maybe, instead of attacking the greedy corporations, we should put our attention to the problem itself.  What in society causes women to be dissatisfied with the body God gave them in the first place.  What kinds of pressures are placed on them to drive them to so drastic a change.  Do I like to touch breasts?  As a man, YES.  But not to the extent that it would endanger my wife's health and that is what happens every time a woman under goes surgery.  Why?  Breasts are not who the woman is.  My wife's soul is who I fell in love with.  Everything now-a-days is focused on sex and being sexy.  That is nuts.  That is why a great many marriages fail.  People fall for the false images their lovers portray which fail in the long run instead of  the person themselves.   Maybe God is trying to straighten out the messes we've made of ourselves.
Maybe .... we should listen to Him.

good poem

This is so relevant and so current. It should be featured on BBC and other British and EU broadcasting channels. Well done Alistair, Isn't that shameful how women's vulnerabilities are exploited by ever so greedy corporates?! Their billions profits cost thousands of lives being painfully disrupted with continuous sleepless nights for both individuals and families. ~Dean

You do the right thing with your poetry.  To stand up for what is right is the most noble aspect of writing.  Good for you, my daring friend!  --David
