THE NEXT TIME YOU TELL ME TO GO I WILL GO

THE NEXT TIME YOU TELL ME TO GO I WILL GO

The next time you tell me to go I will go —
And never return anymore —
I’ll saddle my horse and I'll ride far away —
On earthly romance close the door.

I’ll ride to the forest, the mountain, the field —
I’ll travel the meadow so green —
I'll ride to the sky and I’ll ride to the cloud —
To Your Kingdom no mortal has seen.

What a beautiful description of passing -- I like the rhyme as well -- so subtle.  You're NOT going anywhere soon however -- that's an order!-- Great write

Again, I see this as someone being called home and the willingness for them to go onto heavenly plains. Great writing David.    Henry

Come on over to my Castle Dragonwyck and we'll drink coffee, watch all my mythological menagerie and enjoy the lovely "fantasy world".

What a beautiful and interesting write—filled with so much fantasy! One cannot help but to simply feel the imagery and appreciate your words.
