What
A Change The Sunshine Can Bring
What a change the sunshine can bring
To the greyness we have suffered
My old friend sucks in the hot rays
And buds appear upon the branches
Sitting on the fence the birds sing
No longer by the darkness silenced
Nature resplendent in so many ways
It is glorious to see such changes
Now the children dance and skip along
My pathway on their way to school
No anoraks or Wellingtons on their feet
Hand in hand with their happy teachers
I venture out to join the happy throng
Laughing infectiously like a fool
Passers-by nod and smile in the street
Walking in time with the little marchers
