One Dark Day
one dark day bathed in light,
the two witches in black and white,
decided on a prank to play,
one would swirl her cauldron and say,
deepen the night in contrasting light,
let the toads speak words of song tonight.
the other added ingredients and started to chant,
let the birds begin their rant,
and the rainfall enchant.
smiling with glee,
the two witches danced a jubilee,
and with an awful ruckus,
nature seemed to focus,
the rain upon the two witches in black and white,
on this fine dark day bathed in light.

A delightful fantasy -- so glad these are nice witches and not mean ones! (Do they wear black dresses and pointy hats like 'the wicked witch of the west?')  --David

I like these witches!  An almost Shakespearean feel to the poems full of implied threat and with great imagery.  Loved this John
