Frenzied Love
By the time we reached the house
we were out of breath –
I remember laughing as we raced
one another;
You got their first but I
grabbed you -- tumbled over –
You collapsed too and we lay
there as though in death.
Granted second wind we fought
then to get our key –
But manage it we did falling
indoors at pace;
Clothes flew everywhere in an
energetic race –
Inhibitions disappeared as we
became free.
We kissed – frantically – as
though it was our last –
Desperate almost - - every touch
excited;
We made love in a frenzy until
exhausted –
That spirit of madness took us
but slowly passed.
Out of breath once more we held
hands and kissed again –
So much in love – hearts
beating in time like a train.
