Lady Kymberly

Lady Kymberly

'Twas dark and the moon was full that pleasant evening –

The King and Queen Bess were oft to go riding at night;

But tonight appeared before them a hideous sight –

Uncurling from the floor arose a dragon – feeding –

Leaving the carcass at its feet it approached the two;

Their horses reared and threw their riders upon the ground –

Their escorts' horses bolted leaving no-one around;

When all seemed over into the meadow a girl flew –

Screaming at the dragon and wielding a sword she stood –

Betwixt dragon and Royals - - single-handed and brave;

Just then arrived the Knights – Len. John; Dirk and good Sir Dave –

Faced with such as these the dragon crawled into the wood;

The King thanked the stranger for her bravery and asked

That she join the castle and thus was she duly tasked.

Taken from the writings of Sir Henry – The Arrival Of Lady Kymberly To

Castle Al – as dictated by King Al.

Dang ... and me being a friar.  We're sure getting a lot of ladies in here.  Maybe we should hold a dance some day.

Thanx so much, sire! Methinks Lady Kymberly will be a right smart choice to be aded to your court.
