This editorial shall be somewhat brief, this time
And what's more, this one will be put to rhyme
It's about something that shouldn't be ignored
And that is, the former Poem Of The Month award
I've seen amazing writing, since I've been here
Poets working hard to make their points clear
It's a shame and a sin that there is nothing to show
For the genius that exists on this site, you know
I personally came to know quite a few of this ilk
Their magnificent words flowing smooth as silk
It's an honour and a privilege to be in this crew
They're some of the best writers I ever knew
As I understand, it was apathy that killed the prize
Not enough interest and effort to make them realize
That gifted poets should get accolades they deserve
Not just writing the words, you need guts and nerve
The guts and nerve to convey your thoughts to all
Not to worry what you write wouldn't get the call
It should be recognized, this talent that truly exists
Throught out this site, let this great writing subsist
I myself would do everything I could to help revive
Honour and tribute to a poet, keeping the spirit alive
So, to the powers that be, who can truly have a care
Give them a chance to shine....let 'em know you're there!
