He Would Sing Songs

He Would Sing Songs

He would sing songs and write stories –

The tragedy of existence;

The sadness of many failed tries –

Then God had granted them a chance;

The true cost of a life – a breath –

For his daughter – was her mother;

She lay now at peace in her death –

No chance she now of a brother;

Complications – complications –

They could not save her life – they tried –

Death avoided their ambitions –

But she would know the truth – he vowed;

He held her now gently rocking –

Saying a prayer and crying.

You are able to face the most drastic situations in life -- in your own words.  A great gift.  What a sad story:  whether this is based on a real experience of yours -- or it is written as a mirror of what is too often a real occurrence -- it is a sad thing.  This is the other side of life.  --David

Aye, 'tis a sad thing indeed, when such things manifest themselves as they do. Tragic, wrought with pathos. Fine work, sir.
