Rapture

I watch you in a window
caught in the smear of starlight
spun from a cloudless sky
I am transfixed and lost
by your gleaming naked shadow
that quivers in the wind
Oh the glitter and glamour cast
by a moment's glimpse
beyond your veil of secrets
revealed as you turn
to face the Moon

Oh what treasures may wait
before the light of morning
I reach for your silent heart
brimming with a wild passion
but will you feel my need
this deep obsessive fire
this unholy wild rapture
born of new discovered rage
ah...will my final hope spiral
and falling fade away
with the coming dawn
