IT IS AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE
IT IS AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE

Never enough money, never enough Time
Need a quarter but only have a Dime
Carefully adding the costs in grocery
store line
Ahead of me, Miss Bling with her food stamps card
and junk food and bottles of wine

My doggy Patches greets me with a toothy smile
Stands and stretches on my legs, I was gone awhile
She runs her zoomies down the hall, full force
She deserves her doggy treat now, of course

Daddy is mowing the lawns, it's a Sunday chore
The noise scares Patches, by me she feels secure
Her love for us is Awesome, she is our darlin'
She lives in a World of LOVE and Caring

Watching the birds float in the sky
Hearing the frogs serenade as night floats by
Each morning begins a blessing of Nature's Beauty
Crickets, lizards, butterflies doin' their duty

Never enough money, but we do get by
Time marches onward, laughin as I sigh
I daily thank the Lord for the Life I enjoy
Compensation, the counter-balance, Rules

Money only buys stuff, it can never compare with what it doesn't buy. This is lovely Lady D, and you say it so eloquently.

And fine compensation it is:  do we really need riches?  Haven't we got them already?  You know the answers:  you and your msgical beasts!  --David

I like this little tome, as usual, you capture the comfort and coziness of a lazy and pleasurable lifestyle. I love your message, Linda and your work....I feel a bit more at ease now, having read this. C'est magnifique, madame....c'est si bon!
