True Believer
"Please tell me again, o' father, why it is that we must always believe?"
"Because we are in a covenant with the Lord, my son, we must never practice to deceive"
"Does that mean that we shall never tell untruths or harm our neighbor in any way?"
"That and so much more is right and just, dear boy, on this and every single day"
"So if we follow God's every word, as it 'tis written in the Good Book, we shall never suffer strife?"
"That be so, my little one, and we shall know peace and joy throught out our life"
"I have known so many who would not agree, they hide their heads in sin"
"Pray for each and every one of them, my son, for they know not what anguish they'll begin"
"So you say that I should pray for and forgive all of those, who might seek to hurt me in any way?!"
"That is correct, it is the Lords hope and wish, that all the world would His laws, honour and obey"
"And if everyone did all these wonderful things, just what would lie ahead for us all?"
"The Lord's tender mercies and blessed assurance that we, all of us, someday would get The Call"
"By that, my father, you mean to say, that we all may enter the Kingdom of Heaven and be one?"
"If only that would be true for all of us....yes, we would rejoice in our Creator and His beloved son!"
"I have learned so much, this day, my father, for you are a great and noble man, whom I love!"
"And I love you, my son, more than anything in this world, you shall have The Blessing, sent from Heaven above!"
Author's Notes:
It is there, for all of us....if we can but believe!
