Denise, Chemo Four.
Thirteen weeks in Hospital and still it's not enough
More Chemo is needed again to make her feel rough
The hair is growing back now and she looks like Tank girl
Thick and dark as normal but not enough to make a curl
This fourth chemo is scheduled to try to beat the bug
Her weight has got high enough to again face the drug
This woman has fought to live and still she faces more
The illness has brought her down but she's off the floor
I stand outside her illness looking in with pride
The drugs they feed her I see but can't feel inside
What can I do but watch this mess unfold
Seeing her body age in weeks to make her very old
This woman has the strength of more than ten of me
I can only stand by as she fights what she can't see
The battle is almost over and life again becoming sane
How many understand it or understand the pain.

God bless you and Denise. Thank you for continuing to keep us up-to-date.  I await the entry that will say \'she\'s CURED!\'  Also, I think people -- especially the older they are -- DO indeed understand you: sooner or later most of us face these battles.  It\'s these terrible moments that help us to appreciate life when it\'s just regular.  I\'m sorry you have had so much pain.  Love, David

Written as only one who feels can, such a torment to go through for you both but the strength you show can be the support she needs at this terrible time, you both have my sympathy but more then that my prayers may they help you in this dark time~Graham.

I feel helplessness in these lines but more than that I feel pride and compassion. It is a rough road Mike...trust me, you being there beside her means more than anything else. Heartfelt penning.

Mike: please send Denise a big hug from me.  And she and you are in my prayers for her to continue to recover.
Blessings for you both.......
