Age Covers Us ~*~ Like A Cold Rain
I  thought I was really dying this time
I felt the bitter cold up close

I do not embrace your empty night
or your cool air that you must breath
 or your painted artist dawn

I know your luminous eyes are not
the color of the full moon

I have waited for you always
without you even seeing

I want to hear your distant laugh
that moves through distant mountains
like a refreshing summer breeze

~*~

Slowly age covers us like a cold winter drizzle
if only love could spread its glorious wings
around us
in the Autumn years

Love dragged its long tail of pain
to arrive to be slowly kissed

Incredible writing.  A painting of the soul.  Gorgeous you are.  --David

This is majestic and at the same time so incredibly melancholic. Like a beautiful widow. Thank you.
