She Remains
There is a word for it
but I don't speak that language
at least not anymore
I heard the voice once in silence
She was there watching me
undress
I found that I  never stood
for anything more than words
and kindness falls
apart in the broken wings of yesterday
Where we sat on never again
 Waisted
pool of sadness swallows
whispering seas of freedom
I gave you more than I ever promised
in these days of sleepwalking madness
to our beating drum skin spread
over the blood feast
where we lay breathless on the beach
under romance and heartfelt sorrow
Your tears never dragged us down
We were there when they came
out of reach
out of touch
out of feeling bad for anything
good for themselves
The easiest things to lose
are the ones you never
had to begin with
I let it all go
and she always remains

How do I touch anything when this moves my soul?  I found that I never stood for anything more than words ...  Beautiful phrasing.  You "poem" so well dear soul.  I have missed reading you.  I loved this - felt this - know this and see its shadow in my mirror.  Thank you.  ~Pamela

You are left with the memories some of us will never experience in a lifetime..

You know, when your muse decides to strike we should all take notice. Beautiful as always Chuck!
