The Hum Of Silence

The Hum Of Silence

The hum of silence grows louder –

As I sit in the room thinking;

I feel as though an outsider –

In my own body – existing –

Not living quite but still breathing –

Noticing the current trends yet –

There is no interest – nothing –

My life is just one big regret;

Emotion is now dead to me –

No pleasure do I glean from life;

My eyes are fixed I do not see –

The beauty that's beyond the strife;

That's why I sit here thinking now –

The pain seen on my furrowed brow.

That is a really great poem but I"m sorry you feel that way. I'm assuming you do or did cause I don't think you could write that without being there. I hope you have somebody that can help you move past it if that's how you feel now because I've felt like that alot but then it always gets better and I'm always glad to be there when it does. Great poem and feel better!

Your pain is palpable my dear Alistair. Sad and beautiful. The pond won't stop a hug!

Reality is that you have talent as a writer

who has open his heart to the world here at creative.

I reach across the ocean of tears from pain.

To say you are a dear friend!!!!

OKAY SIR.  I've had quite enough of this.  Either you shape up or I'll tell King Al and you'll be beheaded post-haste.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it, buster.

 I remember those days just silence.... Not wanting to do anything  just sit and thinking....

 YOu need some shine in your life... try to get out and go anywhere...

Its so wet and dreary there cold to many gray clouds... Hang in there ....

Ah me, tortures that we go through when reality is just too real to be true. Hang in there, Al!
