Eyes wide shut

I can't close my eyes I daren't go to sleep for the feelings that I have running through me are just too deep. For once Iam scared to dream because Iam all alone and cold I wish there was someone there, someone for me to hold. Why does reality have to be the truth? For a child so young, yet so wise, How do dreams provide us with any use? The pain will still be there once I awake the saying it's a new dawn, it's a new day only makes me realise what more could be at stake. So these four walls are providing me comfort right now, even if they cannot speak there's too much to confess what's on my mind but eventually I know i'll have to go to sleep.
