Forever, Too

My first love - my one and only love -
stay always who you are -
Magical, real, illusion, flesh and blood
And mind and body and spirit and soul
And intellect and wit and smile
And heart and hands and face and freckles.
I’m keeping them all. You’re mine now.
And I’ll never let go.
Talents and desires, skin and tissues,
insights and inspirations.
Muscles and bones, wishes and goals,
lips and voice.
Mistakes and accomplishments,
earlobes and eyelashes.
Pains and pleasures, veins and pulse,
hopes and dreams.
Frown and tears, breath and heartbeat,
beliefs and fears.
Thoughts and opinions,
belly button and funny bones.
You - mine - eternally – and forever, too.
