10,000 Promises

You told me you wanted me forever and ever I believed what you said, that we'd be together. You looked me in the eyes and swore deep that you were being true, though 10,000 promises you gave to me and I then knew that we were through. You had made so many plans for us to share how could you lie to me like that, it just wasn't fare. I'd hoped for so much but what did I get in return a list of 10,000 promises and a lesson well learned. The feelings that I held for you were rare but truly sincere the future that you had visioned to be looked so perfect and clear. It's all too good to be true, was all I had on my mind 10,000 promises and a broken heart, still, after all of this time. You lied and you lied there was no more trust an awkward apology was no where near enough. So to count on my fingers all that I had lost, a mere 10,000 promises was all what it had cost.
