Did “End” come this night?

I sit alone in someone else’s dwelling Surrounded by many but in loneliness I dwell Your words slice my heart with a vengeance Your confessions of betrayal rip at my flesh Like an unsheathed blade The crimson flow washes over my soul Cleansed only by the river of tears Which stain my sorrowful face As darkness falls over this night Is this the end and mornings light will bring heavens view Or will there be even more to this raging hell I call life Spare me the fate of another day’s misery And let this night be its final end
