~*~Mi Vida Loca~*~
~*~Mi Vida Loca~*~ This is a story about two baby girls who were brought into this world 16 years ago. They were fraternal twin sisters. There names were Angela & Amy. They were from a family of six. Angela & Amy were the youngest. They had 1 older sister, 3 older brothers and of course, there parents. They were the cutest little girls ever. They were always dressed alike. They were always together. If you saw Amy, Angela was right beside her. They went through everything together. Angela was older then Amy by about 15 seconds. Angela & Amy were growing up already. When they went to middle school, they had chosen to different roads in life to take. Amy was the one who had chosen the right road to rake. She was always doing really good in school. She had a “B” average. She was basically the good twin. Angela was the bad twin. She had known right from wrong, but she had chosen to take the wrong road in life. She wanted to test the waters and see what this “Big World” was all about. When Angela went to middle school, she started to change. She was realizing what gangs and drugs were. Her favorite color was blue .She had always like the color blue since she was little. She found out there was a gang called “The Crips” & There gang was about wearing blue, black, and gray all the time. There was also a gang called “The Bloods”. They wore red and white. So she started to hate the color red because “The Bloods” were enemies of “The Crips”. She had friends who had liked the color blue too so they all decided to just claim blue instead of being in the gang. They thought claiming was safer then being in the gang. Angela was hanging out with the “Bad Crowd”. Angela’s attitude was changing. Her grades started dropping. When Angela entered junior high, she was really changing. She was not in “The Crips” gang, but she was claiming. For those of you who don’t know what claiming is its just showing what gang you represent or back up. Angela was hanging out with the “Bad Crowd”. Her friends were doing drugs, they were getting on probation, and they were also skipping. Angela was wearing blue everyday. She also wore blue nail polish. She was obsessed with the color blue. She had a blue backpack, clothes, shoes, purses, scrunches, folders, pens, and her entire room was blue. She had blue bandanas everywhere. She also had a few hanging on the wall of her room. She had all kinds of signs showing she was in a gang. Nicole her older sister starting realizing her change. So she decided to talk to her. At home one day she sat her down in her room and asked “what is going on with you?” Angela simply replied “nothing”. Nicole said “I’m not stupid, I have been in this world 15 years more then you have, what’s going on Angela?” Angela said “nothing is going on, I’m just changing, and I’m having problems in school”. “What kind of problems” Nicole asked. “Well my grades are dropping and I’m worried about that”. Nicole asked “and what else”? Angela said “what do you mean what else”? Nicole said “what about all this blue you’re always wearing, and this type of music you’re listening to”? Angela said “I just like the color blue and I like Latin rap now that’s all”. Nicole said “well you better start wearing different colors and start changing your attitude”. Angela replied “ok I will” and left her room. Her older brothers, Juan-Carlos (J.C), Angel, & Jose were too busy wrapped up in there own life. Amy was still doing very good in school, but she noticed Angela was changing a lot. They didn’t talk as much as they did when they were little. Amy was getting worried. A week later after Nicole had talked to Angela, Amy talked to her too. They shared rooms so one night when they were both in there rooms, Amy decided to talk to her. They were both sitting down on there beds watching TV and finishing up some home work. Amy asked, “Angela, what’s going on”? Angela replied, “Nothing, I wish ya’ll would just leave me alone!” Amy said “what are you getting mad for Angela! We are twins & best friends! Your suppose to always tell me when something is going on!” Angela still replied “nothing is going on Amy!” Amy said “we came in this world together, and I know when something is wrong with you! I know you better then anybody else on this earth and you know me better then anybody else on this earth too, now tell me what’s going on”!. Angela said “I’m claiming the color blue & I have chosen the wrong crowd of friends to hang out with” Amy said “change your friends Angela, & start picking up your grades” Angela replied “ok, I will” A month later Nicole had ran away from home, she had become pregnant. Angela & Amy were crying like crazy. They went 3 days without seeing Nicole. She finally came to pick up some clothes and left. Angela & Amy had cried themselves to sleep for about 3 weeks. Nicole came after 3 weeks to visit because there parents had explained what was going on with Nicole so she came by and talked to Angela & Amy. They were happy that she had came to visit. She had talked to them about what was going on with her. Jose was also graduating that year and planning to move out. They were all very close. So it was hard for Angela & Amy to get through it. Angel had already been married and divorced and living at home with them. A year later Juan-Carlos (J.C) was getting married & had a baby on the way. So Angela & Amy were living at home with there parents and Angel. They were going through a lot of changes. All there older brothers and sisters were having there own family and moving on in life. Eddie and Maria, there parents, were very strict on all of them growing up. They were very strict on Angela & Amy because they were the youngest. They had already entered high school. Angela was still claiming, but not as bad as she use to. She was wearing different colors but still not red. She wouldn’t wear the color red for anything or anybody no matter what. No one had ever seen her in red (only her family, when she was younger). Amy hated so much that Angela was claiming blue. Angela was living that “chola, gangsta life”. Amy and Angela had many arguments because of the way Angela had chosen to live. Amy went nights crying herself to sleep, because she was so worried Angela was gonna get hurt one day. Amy always said “when you’re in a gang or you choose to live that gang life style someone will eventually get hurt” or “that kind of lifestyle affects everyone around you”. They say how you present yourself is who you are and I guess its true, that’s why I am who I am and I will always claim the color blue”. That’s what Angela would say. Angela was obsessed with the color blue. To her, it wasn’t just a color, it was her life. Three years had passed & it was the night before there graduation. Everyone was so happy. There parents were so proud of them. They had seen all of there children graduate and now it was time for Angela & Amy to graduate. That night Angela and Amy had a big talk. They were in there room deciding on what hairdo they were gonna do. Amy said to Angela “well this is it Angela, were about to graduate and go our separate ways” Angela replied “yes this is it, but I am always gonna be here for you whenever you need me, and I know your always gonna be there for me whenever I need you!” “You have always been there for me and I know your always gonna be there for me no matter what happens”. Amy said “stop claiming Angela, you already have your license for cosmetology and cutting hair, your gonna get up there one day I know you are”. “Stop claiming and go to college, to learn how to open up your own business”. Angela had always liked to cut hair, and work with nails. Amy had liked to cook and dance. She was very good at cooking and dancing. She was gonna open up her own business too for both cooking and dancing. They always said when they were younger, they were gonna up there own businesses. Angela would cut Amy’s hair and do her nails, and Amy would cook for Angela and teach her how to dance. Angela said “yea your right Amy but I will always claim that’s what I do and I will always do it” Amy said “ok whatever but I know what I’m telling you I’m only doing this for you, so you won’t get hurt one day”. It was an hour before graduation. Everyone was so happy. Angela & Amy were finally gonna graduate. There family and friends were throwing a big graduation party for them. “Amy Hernandez”, “Angela Hernandez”, the principal announced, screams were heard everywhere. It had been like Selena was walking down the stairs. Everybody was screaming for Amy & Angela. They finally graduated. “We are so proud of ya’ll” there parents had said. They were all crying tears of happiness. Nicole went up to both of them and said “I said I knew ya’ll would do it, we all did” There brothers went up to them and told them the same, ‘Ya’ll finally made it” There father said “when I was younger, I had a dream, to see all my children graduate and I did”. They were so happy that those years of school were worth it. Angela & Amy were so happy to go home to a big party with friends and family waiting there for them. Angela & Amy had were driving home with a group of there friends. They had noticed a red car following them. It was starting to speed up. They began to get scared and worried. Gunshots were fired. ”No Amy!!!” “No! Angela had screamed out. Amy had got shot 3 times. Once in her head, once in her shoulder and once more in her chest. Amy had died instantly. Angela quickly got her cell phone and called 911, her friends were trying to control her she was going crazy. She was panicking; she didn’t know what to do. There was blood all over her. The police had finally got there. They rushed her to the hospital but it was too late she had died at the scene. Ring… ring… ring. There was so much noise at the party they couldn’t hear the phone. Someone finally picked up. “Hello” Angel had said “Angel it’s me Angela”, she was crying he could barely understand her. “Amy has jut got shot tell mom and dad, come now hurry Angel hurry!” “Angela calm down we’re on our way“. They drove fast to the hospital. “We are so sorry, Amy died at the scene, we tried to do the best we could do but it was too late, she lost a lot of blood”, the doctor had said. Eddie, there father was trying to control Maria, there mother, and Angel was trying to control Angela from going crazy. Angela was there at the hospital crying and screaming “ya’ll don’t understand, Amy was my twin, we came in this world together, and because of my stupid mistakes, she died! It was my fault, it was all my fault she died, she always told me but I never listened to her”. Angela was literally going crazy. She said “I’m gonna kill myself Amy didn’t deserved this”. They couldn’t control her. The doctors had to put her in a room. If they didn’t she would have probably killed herself. It was the day of the funeral. Everyone was there. Angel and Jose were holding Angela back. She wanted to jump in the casket with her. Eddie was trying to hold Maria back, and Juan-Carlos (J.C) was holding Nicole back. “We gotta be strong here“, J.C. had said “for Angela” they calmed down a little. It was the saddest day for everyone, especially Angela she came in this world with Amy and she just lost her like that for her stupid mistakes. “It doesn’t matter what you do or say when there gone, it matters what you do and say when there still here”.

A Child's Symphony which you had discovered brought me to read your story.
And like a Child's Symphony Unfinished let your life be filled with experiences that say take the time to reflect and discover why compassion and the spirit of giving - instead of taking and rebelling - are the ingredients that make a life whole instead of one fragmented & torn.

All the best,
Jamieson

Wow, I am so sorry that this happened to you, it was very sad. It had a few problems gramatically, but it was very compelling with a good message.
