Poem For The Unknown Lover
As the day begins to die,
And the stars begin to show,
I can hear your calling,
Feel your power grow.

When the sun sighs at last
You'll crawl into my bed,
Deflect this hollow defence,
And leave the lies unsaid.

Then you'll steal inside;
A scar upon my heart,
To beat and writhe and cry
To tear this innocence apart.

And when you lie beside me
As I slowly fall asleep,
I know you'll brush away
The rusty tears I weep.

Yet when morning calls,
And I'm left here all alone,
I can't help but wonder
If this is love of the unknown.
Author's Notes:
uh I wrote a couple of stanzas of this poem a few years ago, found them the other day and decided to finish it. Quite like it, hope you do too :)
