Insecurity
I tell you that it's okay

I tell you that you're perfect this way

You don't need the make-up or the clothes

Or someone to love you and hug you close

I try to help you to see the plan

Why you're here, I try to explain

I know it hurts, it hurts so bad

Sometimes you cry, other times you just get downright mad

You feel like you just can't measure up

And trying and trying is just so tough

Are you just worthless, are you nothing?

Isn't there anything good in you, something?

How can you feel so invaluable and ugly

And at the same time everyone says you're lovely?

You know outward beauty doesn't go a long way

But it's hard to look elsewhere when that's all there is the world does say

You hate the superficial and all the lies

The way it seems all anyone sees is just a disguise

But it seems that's all anyone expects you to be anymore

Exactly what you're not, and little more than decor

You want someone to tell you that you matter

Someone to mend what someone else left in tatters

Someone to see the good part inside of you

Someone who appreciates you for you and makes all your dreams come true

I try to tell you that you already have someone

Someone who thinks of you constantly and loves you a ton

Someone who actually was there at your birth

Someone who could already see how much you're worth

Someone who was always with you by your side

Someone who saw and shared every tear you cried

Someone who loved you so much that for you he gave his life

Someone who made you with one thing in mind...the most perfect, beautiful bride

The only someone who ever mattered has already pledged his unfailing love

Whether you say yes or not, he's already claimed you and set you high above

Faithful and true, he's never ever left you

And he's just waiting to make all your dreams come true.
