Rigor Mortis
This is a dying dream,
Because I remember
What it was like
To live through september.

And it's all so confusing;
Each breath hurts my chest,
But my heart beats numb,
I guess I failed this test.

Trapped in this final second,
As my eyelids flutter,
Last breath sounding,
Yet still dreams mutter.

So what is all this?
Just a final rewind,
Or have I already left
Everything else behind?

Can't believe it's a year,
Seems like a lifetime instead,
But I knew you were an angel
Because I, I was already dead.
Author's Notes:
I write weird poems, this is one of them *bows* For some reason the title makes me laugh, probably just my morbid sense of humour I guess ;)
