Had walked, and walked for days;
Somnambulistic meanderings.
This narcotic narcoleptic urge
Demands sacrificial panderings,
Demands blood cascading down
Harsh steps cut from mind matter,
Victims wrung from faded mélange
Of recollection and rain’s pitter-patter.

Had slept, and slept for years;
Eternal somnolent disguise worn,
As camouflaged eyes shone bright
When lucid moments were torn
Free from this stumbling dirge;
Far too obscure to enunciate
While sleep-encrusted, and a crystallised
Chrysalis prison is unable to extricate

This butterfly-winged creature, who awoke
To a reality he was unable to revoke.
Author's Notes:
My mind constantly amazes me with the things it throws out, maybe it even means something ;)
