©When You Left
As I sit here and think of you
it was as if I never knew

Seeing your face, hearing your voice
was all but your choice

You were trying to make me see
the pain in you trying to get free

Finding how you felt
I began to see your heart melt

Now I know that your life is done
I'll look back at all our fun

You said you loved me before you went
I didn't really know what you meant

I know now you can't hear
my life I began to fear

I loved you too
it was if I never knew
Author's Notes:
I wrote this for my friend who I barely know, but it was for a good thing.
