Remember (elegy)
As it was before, so shall it come to this,
And a sigh does signal life's last kiss.
So close my eyes, this journey is done,
I've returned to the place from which I begun.

From the earth did this body arise,
So shall it return, in similar guise,
But burdened by the counting of so many years
And lightened by the shedding of unnumbered tears.

But my spirit did ever belong to the sky,
So I'll head off to the deep blue on high,
To become entangled in that ether above,
And watch over you with this endless love.

I'm sorry there are so few photographs,
Only so many occasions of joy and laughs,
And in folly you thought all this would depart,
But in truth it lives on in your heart.

As I always said I would be there for you,
Gazing upward is all that you need do,
So as I soar off in search of my star,
Just remember to dream, it is who you are.

Uh hope this is actually how elegies go ;)
