Surviving The Gift of Darkness
How much strange apparition of water
Pours in the center of my head
Where will you end
As my fingers bend
And trace invisible signs.
As my hands shake
As you flow from one side to another.
Of my consciousness titled and quivering--
Like a mouse in the shade of a cat.

It is a good thing--
that long ago
i emptied myself
Of the fabric of dreams
For strange water you shall not drown
Or soak the possessions of my soul…
Serving aperent virtues to my lips…

But still the darkness
be stoles the shadows of rain.
A gift of sadness
Only my eyes seem to be steady
Calm in the whorl of a storm
At my eye lashes sweep away excess.
As i lean against the world of spirits
As they tap at my mind
i simple pray that I shall
Awake someday to wholeness
As scripture flows within
vision and light springs
from insight..

Vision and light does indeed spring from insight. We shall all one day awake to wholeness. This poem speaks to me of sadness, acceptance and hope.
Wonderfully penned.
