~ My Sanctuary

My grades are failing
I can't think straight.
No place I'd rather be
Than in my Sanctuary

Not welcomed in my home
Nor in the homes of friends.
There's one place I know I'm welcomed
In my Sanctuary.

The place where I feel safe
Where there's always peace & quiet.
No need for me to pretend
When in my Sanctuary.

When all others left me dry
With no where else to go.
I look towards the hills
To which sitteth my Sanctuary.

My Mother and Father gone
No one else to look to.
I head to where i have a family
In my Sanctuary.

Where I'm always wanted
Where I'm always loved
Where I'll never feel deserted
Is in the Church, My Sanctuary.

Author's Notes:
This poem is about the place where i feel safe, and the place where I know He's listening. It's sort of like my home away from home. Sometimes I'd rather be there than at home.

This poem is really good! In a way I can kinda relate because sometimes I too feel that I'd rather be there with Him than live here. However, because I know that my friends and family care for me, that helps me to live another day. Also, I know that it's only a matter of time before He comes to take us home with Him. If you ever want to talk just message me...I'm always up for conversation!
