~Twisted Fate~

I'll tell you a story about a heroic mother
testing her limits and fighting on courageously like no other
She started out as an abandoned child
then picked up by an orphanage where she stayed awhile
She grew up lonely and without any family
no parents,no home, this isn't how life is suppose to be
The other kids in the orphanage always picked on her
but she wasn't the type to surrender so she endured
She was later named Lilly because she had the beauty and innocence of a flower
her heart, faith and courage slowly grew upon each and every hour
At the age of eighteen she left her one and only home
she knew she had to be strong if she was to survive in the world on her own
She soon got a job and also fell in love
showing the strength that lies in her heart when push came to shove
Lilly and Michael soon bought their own place
for once in her life Lilly had a smile imprinted on her face
Michael proposed to her soon after that
their wedding would be beautiful and that's a fact
There Lilly stood in her beautiful and elegant wedding dress
after going through so much in life Lilly now was enveloped by so much joy and success
Finally the two soul mates were married
but what added to the excitement was the new baby Lilly now carried
Six months past and soon joy turned quickly into sorrow
the doctor told the couple if Lilly gave birth she would not survive to see another tomorrow
A dilemma arose to keep the baby or have an abortion
Lilly was now stuck with a difficult decision with so many conflicting emotions
To save her life by taking the life of her unborn child
or to give up her own to give this baby a chance at life and to see him smile
Through some difficult thinking Lilly decided to keep the baby
she believed in what she was doing even though everyone told her she was crazy
Her husband didn't approve of the decision she made
he couldn't imagine his life without her,is there any other way?
Through a lot of criticism Lilly stood strong
she was following her heart so she knew her decision wasn't wrong
Soon came the day of her child's birth
she was in the hospital bed contemplating how much the life of her child was worth
Hours later Lilly gave birth to a beautiful baby girl
she had fought through adversity to bring this sweet little innocent life into the world
Soon after Lilly felt immense pain
I guess the doctor was right but Lilly knew she wouldn't die in vain
Before Lilly died she held her baby in her arms
and named her hope and asked Michael to protect her from any harm
Right then and there Lilly went to the heavens above
even though she is now gone you can still feel Lilly's unselfish love
Funny how fate controls the course of our destiny
but there are those who fight and create their own reality
To mothers everywhere who continue to fight
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us all life

The timing is perfect Tony because our moms were our dads too. This is chilling but a well made sacrifice. Luv ya Tony! :)
