Seeking Solace
Thinking of the words to say
A desperate moment in time
To try and touch a place within
And preserve it in your mind

If I was as fearless as what you are
I would have spoke whatís real
So today I break from caution
And let the universe see how I feel

Naked is a word Iíd use
For my barriers have come down
Exposed and vulnerable alive inside
My essence you have found

Behind the craziness and haze of it all
Awareness I didnít anticipate
My faith restored, and my trust renewed
Clarity I sure do appreciate

Breathless and bewildered
Is how you leave me feeling
My admiration and infatuation
No longer worth concealing

Iím screaming from the inside out
Can you see my heartís tears?
Frightened I may have missed my fate
Will you silence all my fears?

Iíll continue to believe itís real
Or at least, so it seems
For the moment I can touch your face
And itís not just in my dreams

I hope Iíve showed the world and you
Iím a girl who can never repay
Even my own existence is not enough
For the love I feel today
