Inflicted pain
You always came home so angry Why do you have to take it out on me You might not be my father And I might not be your daughter But you donīt have to treat me that way You donīt have to scream and hit me everyday I still remember all those awful words you said Please remember that my fatherīs dead You were suppost to protect me and help me through But instead I needed protection from you You were to busy with your drugs To ever actually give me a hug You had plenty of time for your daughters And plenty of love for my mother But as for me.....never I could feel the hate grow in my heart when the screaming began to start You looked surprised when I hit you back I was ready to attack As my fist hit your face My heart began to race I started to go insane I wanted you to feel the pain As you had inflicted it onto me Those five years that you let me bleed No longer will you shut my door Or leave me crying alone on the floor I am now leaving not that you care To you its as if I was never there You can have my family At least now Iīll be free By myself Iīll make my way You can scar my life some other day.
Author's Notes:
I dedicate this to my stepfather.. I beleive the saying forgive and forget, but he is the only person I will never forgive and never forget.

Well written-
I had a problem with my step father also-
The pushing the pain the tears and all-
Still in the end when he died he was alone in the hospital and never knew that deep down I did love him and would miss his council-
A big part of the problem was that I had 22 brothers and a sister all younger plus 2 step sisters older and not at home-
He took on the chore of raising a family not his own and we took this to be wrong-
I hope that someday you and he can find a common ground in which to communicate and express to one another.
