a pink rose
A pink rose on fire
The destructive thinking of desire
Heart sinking my eye rises higher
Like art from a distance; do I dare touch or only admire?

Some are drawn closer; they do not heed to a thorn
They have not been cut before, so they need to be torn
I know this flower will wither with touch leaving only ash and seed to be born
Still some only learn after being burned and bleed through what they’ve worn

Will this rebloom under the moon or fade fast like so many petals in the past
I can only ask not answer, for I was not made today nor meant to last
Author's Notes:
if you've read "the cycle" you know how complex this shit can get, but i m feeling lazy so i'm not going to give a full explaination. this is another highly symbolic piece with lessons on a lot of differnt levels. read the poem more than once. each time you read it think of these ideas which i have made the poem about. if you really read into it and make the pink rose what i m talking about you ll be able to see what i mean. 1) Life 2) Society & Nature 3) Government &Politics 4) Love & Sexuality 5) Drugs 6) Religion if you have any questions feel free to private message me. if you do get it (which i m sure most of you will) then please leave a comment so i know what you think. much love and peace -recalcitrant

Beautiful work.  Your writes always do seem to astound me.  You write with so much beauty, and also with so much complexity, and simplicity... (If that makes any sense)  Good write, very good!!

I really like this poem a lot. It has a lot of thought put into it, not like most poems where all people talk about is "I hate this and I hate that." I also like all the deep meanings in your poem. Great write. =o]
