Once more around the block,
Walking backwards this time;
Bound to the silent clock,
Shotgun wedding of a mime.

Skipping in the back yard
Trying to satisfy this itch,
Oh life isn’t that hard
It’s learning that’s the hitch.

I danced just twice with you,
A drink or two in-between,
Oh the things you fall into
When you’re trying to come clean.

Sometimes you’re born to yearn,
And I can sound so many sighs
From wishing that I could learn
To be reflected in your eyes.
