The Door Mat
You look at me with eyes of dread

I am daring you to make that tread

A few more steps and you are there

I’m holding you back with a glare

Moving though you are unsure

Yet still you inch a little more

“I wouldn’t do it if I were you”

You wonder just what I could do

But you decide you shall risk it

And really push and take the biscuit

The clicking sound is an opening cage

As your hit with my full on rage

Shocked you run from my attack

Guess the Door Mat

Just hit back

Wish I could do that, restrain people with my glare...I just feel guilty for everything - automatically...

maybe its about time I took some of this advice??

Excellent Poem Jo x
