1 am
The hum of the computer

Light winter wind blowing
through the leafless trees

The sound of you stirring
in our bed

I don't wake you, for I
know you need your rest

Gliding softly I enter the
room to steal a look at you

But you are the thief that
stole my heart

I watch you as you sleep
For I am your protector
just as you are mine

I say a prayer and kiss
your cheek

Back to the computer
3 sleeping Schnauzers warm
my feet

1 am and I'm the only one awake
Protecting what is mine.

Thank you my wife. How ironic that you call me a thief when my job involves catching them. I must go place myself under arrest for stealing your heart, but i'm not giving that heart back. Thank you so much for guarding over me and know that I do the same for you as you slumber. Love you Kevin.

What sweetness this has...I pictured you doing that; standing there thinking of how you feel so much for him. I really liked this Martha, and will add it to my favorites. Barbie
