Another world
As I sit on the beach I breath in the ocean's air I feel the sand beneath my toes And the gentle breeze rushing through my hair I look at the water so quiet and still But knowing that there lays a life beneath Another world that heart beats fill I slowly merge by body into the oceans hand And only for a second trying to be A part of this world of water and sand I feel the desire to become one With the life beneath the water Where I look up and see the glisten of the sun I see the movement of a fish so perfect in its grace Watching every detail, Enduring the surroundings of such a beautiful place The ocean is something that I strongly admire An interest that fills my mind While in my heart it lights a burning fire But I know this beauty was not meant for me And as I slowly step onto the sand I return to reality.
Author's Notes:
This is my first nature poem...I am amazed by the freedom of the ocean yet I have never been able to write about it until now. please any comments will be greatly appreciated. thanks for reading!

Well for your first nature poem this is absolutely outstanding!!! Your words penned a very vivid picture as to what it would be like visiting the ocean....that is something I have not yet done...I could smell the salt water and vision it all so clearly...thank you for writing this...it allowed my imagination to wander....
